I'm just putting this into words.

I find I am more capable of intimacy than I think. I now realize that I wasn't afraid of intimacy, I was afraid of losing myself. They are two different things. When I have myself, I can be intimate. Intimacy is about two people sharing themselves with each other and can only happen when two "whole people" have a relationship. Otherwise, it's not intimacy.

I have uncovered/discovered/recovered a lot of myself, enough to feel safe in revealing myself to someone else.
